Dispatch raises $18M to fix wealth management’s data problem

Rob Nance had seen the same issue play out countless times. Financial advisors would sit down with clients ready to offer advice, but instead of focusing on strategy, they were stuck reconciling spreadsheets and chasing down information that lived in half a dozen systems. Some firms were losing hours every week to manual processes. Others were losing advisors altogether: 92% of them say they’d switch firms over bad technology, according to industry data.

That pain point is what led Nance to start Dispatch, a data orchestration platform built specifically for wealth management. And now, with $18 million in fresh Series A funding, the Miami startup is betting that cleaner, connected data is the missing infrastructure the industry has been waiting for.

“Disconnected and inconsistent data is a prevalent issue in wealth management, creating inefficiencies for firms and frustrating clients,” Nance, Dispatch’s co-founder and CEO, shared in a statement. “We built Dispatch to address that head-on, giving advisors and enterprises a seamless way to keep information accurate and connected across their tech stacks.”

The round was led by Brewer Lane Ventures, with New York Life Ventures, MassMutual Ventures, Perceptive Ventures, and existing backers F-Prime, Flyover Capital, and Fika Ventures also joining in. For investors, the pitch is straightforward: advisory firms have been layering on more and more specialized platforms for planning, billing, reporting, and client communication. The more tools they adopt, the messier the data problem becomes. Dispatch steps in as the connective tissue that keeps everything in sync.

“Dispatch is creating critical infrastructure that the wealth management industry has been missing,” said Chris Downer, general partner at Brewer Lane Ventures, in the release. “Their approach to data orchestration redefines how firms and fintechs can serve clients, while giving advisors the tools to operate with speed, accuracy and efficiency.”

It’s not just theory. Firms like Mariner, Sanctuary Wealth, and Choreo – together representing more than $1 trillion in assets under advisement – are already using Dispatch. By automating data flows across their complex systems, Dispatch claims to have helped these firms cut thousands of hours of manual work and reduce costly errors by more than 90%.

“In recent years, one of the biggest challenges in wealth management has been getting various systems to talk to each other,” said Marty Bicknell, CEO of Mariner. “Dispatch is solving that problem in a way that’s scalable and built with a deep understanding of how advisory firms actually work.”

That practical focus has fueled rapid adoption and set the stage for expansion. Dispatch now offers integrations that sync thousands of data points across the most common advisor tools, from CRMs and planning software to document storage and e-signature platforms. Its Form Builder can even auto-complete every field on custodial forms, an example of the unglamorous but vital problems the company has chosen to solve.

For the firms writing checks, the real opportunity is what clean data enables: a new generation of AI-driven tools that advisors can trust. The $18 million raise will go toward building out agentic workflows and automation features designed to let advisors spend less time on administration and more time serving clients.

Nance framed the opportunity in simple terms. “This funding is a testament to the importance and size of the problem we’re solving,” he said.
