This cyber session is going to be about the Blue Team and what it’s like working in a defense security team. We will cover basic concepts in Blue Team, daily threats you will face, as well as which tools are most commonly used.

Still curious about the Blue Team? No problem, let us clue you in beforehand. The Blue Team is a defensive security in a security office. They analyze threats and establish use cases (such as rules for creating security alerts).

Some tools we will go over include SIEM (security information and event management), EDR (endpoint detection and response), and NDR (network detection and response). Regarding security monitoring, we will cover what IOCs are (an indicator of compromise), use cases, and rules for alert monitoring.
