Designing for Change: Aiming for sustainable communities

January 4, 2020 @ 9:00 am - 1:00 pm

$250

Description

This course will help you:

  • Connect and engage with your audience
  • Solve problems creatively and face new challenges
  • Be more efficient with your resources
  • Create value for yourself and others

Course overview:

This workshop series is based on design thinking methodology, a tool used to build meaningful products. You will learn to use the key elements of design thinking to solve everyday obstacles and opportunities, using real-life scenarios. You will identify challenges that are interesting to you and, through the practice of empathy, learn how to interview potential users to understand their needs. You will then create potential solutions through rapid prototyping, which is an iterative approach used in developing human-centered products and services. You will then have the opportunity to test your concept and collect real feedback from your target audience.

Who Should Take This Course:

This course is for individuals and teams that want to innovate and foster creativity to address challenges that impact others. If you are new to design thinking, you will learn how to empathize with strangers, synthesize large amounts of data and develop new insights. If you have some experience with design thinking, you will be able to master the art of divergent and convergent thinking to decode complex challenges and unravel untapped opportunities.
