According to a report from the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), Latin America is facing unprecedented challenges in education and faces the worse socioeconomic crisis in more than a century which has impacted the education systems throughout the region.

According to the IDB, Chile is the country with the highest percentage of students in schools with enough digital devices connected to the Internet and with teachers who have the necessary technical and pedagogical skills to integrate digital devices into teaching.
