How Disruption is Shaping the New Economy

September 20, 2018 @ 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm EDT

In recent years, companies like Netflix, Air BnB, Uber, Warby Parker and Amazon have disrupted traditional and nontraditional industries.   However, the theory of disruption is not new and was introduced in 1995 and some could say even earlier with the invention of electricity or the jumbo jet.
Some businesses with fewer resources and greater flexibility can adjust and adapt more easily as they build their business and change the way customers interact.  But traditional businesses are also exploring new ways to be innovative to keep up with the ever-changing market.
While we can’t stop disruption, we cannot ignore it either.  Major businesses like Blockbuster, Kodak and Friendster did not adapt to new trends and eventually disappeared.
How are companies continuing to stay relevant in an ever-evolving market?
Miami Finance Forum’s special event will feature a keynote and fire side chat that will answer some of this and other questions and dive deeper into further into themes including how disruption has changed the way they do business.
Confirmed Speakers & Panelists:
Kathryn V. Marinello, President & CEO – Hertz Corporation
Tom Hudson, WLRN
Guido Ballocco, CEO, Edward Beiner
Brendan Meyer, Tesla
