Predictive Modeling for Healthcare

Dr. Beverly Festin Martinez is a member of the FSP Biometrics team at Syneos Health.

Dr. Martinez has served the needs of major stakeholders in the healthcare industry at patient-centered/customer-focused organizations. With her PhD in Statistics & Biometry from Emory University and continuing education in analytics, she has contributed to both randomized controlled trials and real-world evidence generation within the therapeutic areas of many disease models.

Dr. Martinez will present an example of prediction modeling (a.k.a. supervised machine learning) using R. This use case will highlight the process flow of applying predictive models in the healthcare space.
