Resource Governor allows you to manage SQL Server workloads and resources on incoming requests. This allows you to provide predictable performance for different workloads on a single instance. It also allows you to track resource utilization for your different applications or workloads. This session will give you an introduction to resource governor concepts and components. I will walk you through configuring and implementing resource governor. You will see how you can use resource governor to not only limit resource consumption by a particular application or workload but also how to track resource utilization for chargeback to a particular department or division. Resource governor is an underutilized feature in SQL Server so come learn more about it and how it can help provide a consistent experience for you!
