Though it feels like MiamiTech hasn’t slept over the past year – the action continues at Miami Tech Week. Wondering what is Miami Tech Week and why thousands are descending on the 305? Read my piece from last year.
One thing that we can’t deny is that Miami has solidified its spot as one of the fastest-growing tech ecosystems in the world. Miami HQ’d companies raised a record break $2.6 billion in 2021, according to Crunchbase. We’re only 4 months into 2022 and companies have raised over $1 billion already.
Our progress as a community has brought a new experience to Miami Tech Week. Emerge Americas is returning to Miami Beach and will anchor the TechWeek experience. This year will also for the first time have an official Miami Tech Week Summit and a slew of public programming from the community.
The #TechWeek Action
There’s always a lingering question of “Well, what’s actually going on?”. I think Nancy Dahlberg has done a great job outlining some of the anchor events here.
Now to the fun stuff. The Tech Week Cal is already loaded with events, and I’m sure even more impromptu ones will rise this week. There will be no shortage of invite-only and high price-tagged events so here are a few dope FREE & OPEN events.
