ABOUT THE ROLE
The Technical Program Manager sits within the Merchant Integrations team, and is a critical nexus between Product, Operations, and our external partners. 
When OpenStore acquires new merchants and we begin the absorption process, our team starts working to onboard and standardize their tech stacks as well.  Some of these technical and platform implementations necessitate working across internal and external teams, managing project schedules and timelines, identifying risks, communicating clearly with stakeholders, and executing complex work plans start to finish. 
The TPM will execute and lead these efforts to bring all our stores in line with our industry standard eCommerce tooling.

WHO YOU ARE

  • You are detail oriented and love getting into the nitty gritty.  Task trackers, kanban boards, SOPs, and checklists 
  • You’re a world-class project manager. Nothing slips through the cracks and you know how to escalate issues and think ahead for contingency plans. 
  •  You thrive in fast-paced, agile environments. At this stage we’re still learning. You will iterate with the rest of the team on the different integration playbooks to build an increasingly low-risk and efficient process. 
  • You take pride in your strong sense of ownership. Your ability to execute and eliminate blockers helps you and the entire company move fast with confidence.  You know when to raise your hand and ask for help
  • You communicate and build relationships effectively. You build strong relationships grounded in mutual respect and aren’t afraid to have tough conversations.
  •  You are strategic and analytically rigorous. You have a deep bias towards using data and analyses to drive decisions. You love seeing the power of great analyses, strong partnerships, and collaborating with peers to drive extraordinary execution.  
  • You are digitally savvy and love unlocking scalable solutions via tech tools. Your experience and technology inclination will enable you to focus on productizable solutions.  

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • You’ll lead key parts of the integration process.  You’re a leader and a project manager, and you’ll have significant responsibilities from day 1 getting our acquired brands through our process
  • You’ll keep everyone track, internally and externally, onshore and offshore.  You use communication and empathy to make sure all tasks get wrapped up.
  • You’ll help us bring structure and data to our processes and SOPs. And then after we get that data, you’ll work to suggest improvements to continue to iterate.
  • You’ll work efficiently with tools and continuously seek improvements. You’ll use existing tech tools to do your job efficiently and collaborate with the tech product team to identify new opportunities where technology can unlock scale or efficiency.   
  • You’ll collaborate and contribute to many areas. You’ll collaborate across many teams including merchant integrations, procurement, marketing, category managers, finance, and product.

WHAT YOU HAVE

  • 3-5 years as a technical program manager, project manager, or related experience.
  • Eagerness for responsibility and accountability Excellent communication skills with a track record of improving efficiency.
  • Experience at a high growth DTC company is a plus
