Looking for luxury experiences? There’s a DAO for that

Looking for that last minute Taylor Swift ticket? That much-coveted dinner reservation at Sexy Fish? Or an exclusive jaunt on a rental yacht? Then you might want to turn to a luxury concierge service. These platforms charge users a pretty penny to get access to some of the world’s top experiences.

Two South Florida-based brothers are on a mission to change that. Alexander and Blake Baron are the founders of LifestyleDAO, a decentralized autonomous organization that aims to make the most luxurious of experiences accessible to the members of their community.

Founded in August 2021, the first mint of 200 NFTs are ready to be sold. The DAO will also launch a marketplace where memberships can be bought or sold.

A yearly membership to LifestyleDAO will put you back a cool $5,555 – but that pales in comparison to similar luxury concierge services, which can charge $7,000 or more. The DAO has inked deals with Select Card and British global luxury service provider Quintessentially, providing members with access to experiences in more than 44 countries.

“Our job does not start with the introductory partnerships that we have now,” Alexander told Refresh Miami. “We’re always in contact with more partners that can bring utility.” Looking forward, he said that the DAO also hopes to host members-only events.

Blake has an operations background, while Alexander has had experience in theater and stage management. Together, the duo says that their experiences will ensure LifestyleDAO members are provided with top-level service.

The origins of LifestyleDAO come from the brothers’ interest in figuring out the value of NFTs. “We were always talking about how there was no actual utility to NFTs,” said Alexander. “What do you actually get instead of just making money and flipping it?”

So the idea for LifestyleDAO came pretty naturally to Alexander and Blake: to come up with a service that was gated by NFTs and run through a blockchain, ensuring transparency and community – all wrapped in an exciting, tech-forward bundle.

Up to now, LifestyleDAO has bootstrapped its way to over $2 million in revenue and 13 employees. It already has launched its portal through which members can take advantage of relevant deals.

The brothers, who moved to South Florida from their native New York to start LifestyleDAO but have long standing Jewish-Cuban roots in Miami, are bullish on #MiamiTech.

“To us, it’s the new Silicon Valley,” said Blake. “It’s huge, especially as a crypto hub.”
