5 startups join Global Ventures at the Research Park at FAU. Let’s meet them

The Research Park at Florida Atlantic University announced the addition of five high-potential companies to its Global Ventures program.

With a mission to accelerate the growth of international and second-stage technology-based companies in South Florida, Global Ventures provides companies in healthcare, AI, cybersecurity, fintech, ocean technology and other high-impact sectors with access to Florida Atlantic University research faculty and student talent, flexible office space, and strategic guidance to help them scale operations in the United States. The soft-landing program currently supports 29 companies.

Here are the five new Global Ventures startups:

  • MyWayv: An Israeli-founded AI technology company improving emotional experiences and solving mental health inefficiencies and pain points.   
  • ENETSEC: A Brazilian-founded company on the forefront of digital forensics and cyber incident response, committed to combating digital crimes with precision and expertise.
  • PayPhone App: An Ecuadorian-founded FinTech company that democratizes direct collections and payments to people and businesses with money loaded on your smartphone or with your favorite credit or debit card.
  • Totaligent:  A U.S-founded AI-powered digital marketing platform that unifies multi-channel campaigns with real-time insights, data precision, and fraud protection, empowering businesses to engage real consumers through Email, SMS, social media, PPC, and more in one automated system.
  • Focus Safe: A U.S./Argentinian-founded dual-purpose EdTech software platform designed to help schools reclaim control of the classroom and improve campus safety by turning the very devices that cause disruption into tools for focus and protection.

“This is such a dynamic intersection of academia, research, education, and technology,  and it aligns perfectly with our mission at Focus Safe,” said Fiorella Occhinero, Focus Safe co-founder and president. “We believe creating safer, more focused school environments is not only important but transformative, and this community offers the ideal place to help drive and develop that change alongside others who share our passion for impact.”

Companies within the Research Park, which include Global Ventures startups, support 978 jobs, creating 160.5 net new positions and offering 34 internships to Florida Atlantic students. These ventures generated $657 million in revenue and contributed to an estimated regional economic output of $708 million. Alumni of the Research Park include ModMed, recently valued at $5.3 billion.

“These five companies represent the kind of innovative, scalable ventures we excel at supporting through the resources of Global Ventures,” said Andrew S. Duffell, president of the Research Park at Florida Atlantic. “Their growth will contribute to the diversification of our regional economy and further position South Florida as a hub for research-based innovation and global collaboration.”
