When Guardz launched out of stealth in 2023, the company didn’t go after the Fortune 500. Instead, it zeroed in on the businesses most exposed to the cybersecurity crisis, and least equipped to deal with it: small and mid-sized companies.
So far, the bet has paid off. In just over two years, the Israel-founded, Miami-anchored startup has raised $84 million in funding, with the latest $56 million Series B round led by ClearSky, a West Palm Beach-based venture firm. Other backers include Phoenix Financial, SentinelOne, Glilot Capital Partners, and Lumir. It’s a strong vote of confidence in both the product and the company’s laser focus on empowering Managed Service Providers (MSPs), who handle the IT operations of most SMBs.
“MSPs are the first line of defense for these organizations – the engine of the global economy,” Guardz CEO and co-founder Dor Eisner shared in a statement. “This funding propels us forward in our mission to bring enterprise-level cybersecurity to SMBs.”
The challenge Guardz is solving might be easy to overlook unless you’ve worked in the MSP trenches. While large enterprises deploy entire in-house security teams, smaller firms rely on MSPs to secure their operations. But most MSPs juggle too many disconnected tools, which means slow detection, patchy response times, and rising costs. According to Guardz, more than three-quarters of MSPs say they’re overwhelmed by managing too many platforms.
That’s where Guardz steps in. The company’s unified cybersecurity platform folds email, endpoints, cloud, identity, and data protection into a single system. Its 24/7 Managed Detection and Response (MDR) platform blends AI-powered automation with real-time threat hunting by experts. Integrated with Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace, it flags risky behavior and cuts off account access before attackers get a foothold.
For Eisner and the team, the strategy is clear: make life easier for MSPs, and they’ll be able to scale, grow revenue, and protect more of the economy’s backbone businesses in the process.
“Guardz has built an exceptional solution that directly addresses a critical and underserved need in the market,” said Alex Weiss, Managing Partner at ClearSky. He cited Guardz’s “AI-native approach” and its rapid growth as reasons for the investment. “They are uniquely positioned to lead this space.”
With cyber threats growing more aggressive and small businesses often left exposed, Guardz sees an opportunity to do more than just keep pace. The company asserts that the new funding will support deeper product development and a push into the U.S. market, both steps toward helping MSPs keep their clients secure without adding more complexity to their workflows.
