AirOps, a Miami-based startup that helps businesses easily deploy AI-powered apps, announced Wednesday that it has raised $7 million in seed funding.
The round was led by Wing VC and included Founder Collective, XFund, Village Global, Apollo Projects and Lachy Groom. The startup plans to use the funding for product development, hiring and marketing.
AirOps helps business teams of all sizes deploy task-specific AI tools at scale within their existing workflows. AirOps Apps can be installed and configured in minutes, and they allow non-technical teams to automate processes, extract data insights, generate personalized content, and perform natural language processing techniques such as text classification and sentiment analysis. AirOps leverages multiple AI models, including GPT-3, GPT-4, and Claude.
“Tools like ChatGPT have caught people’s attention, but most people are still struggling to figure out how to use AI to help solve their hardest problems at work,” said Matt Hammel, AirOps’ co-founder and COO. ”AirOps makes it easy for anyone to find and customize AI apps that are tailored to the problems they’re trying to solve and the unique context of their business.”
The company was founded in 2022 by Alex Halliday, the CEO, Berna Gonzalez and Hammel, who have a background in building products for MasterClass and Bungalow. AirOps launched in private beta late last year. Companies including vacation rental platform Gather Vacations, HR software firm Bambee and e-learning website Daisie are already using AirOps to streamline their workflows, the company said.
The startup has 14 employees and is hiring for a growth lead, a product strategy and operations lead and a few other positions.
