Cybersecurity poses a $10.5 trillion risk to us all. Yet the vast majority of businesses are simply unprepared to thwart these threats. That’s especially true for small businesses, only 5% of whom see cybersecurity as the biggest risk for their business.
Miami-based Enveedo’s thesis? Buying a bunch of different cybersecurity platforms simply won’t cut it. Rather, robust cybersecurity starts with an overarching cybersecurity program.
That’s the thesis that has enabled the startup to raise a $3.15 million seed round led by Austin-based Silverton Partners alongside Runtime Ventures and Blu Ventures.
According to the company, these funds will go toward building out its product pipeline, attracting talent, and further market their platform.
“This investment from three prestigious VCs with deep knowledge of cybersecurity is a strong validation of our vision and hard work,” CEO Luciano Salata said in a statement. “With this support, we are poised to accelerate our growth and continue to innovate, improving cyber resiliency for businesses that are in desperate need of help and guidance to protect their crown jewels.”

Previously, Salata spent 13 years at Latin American telecommunications company IFX Networks. He then co-founded two telecom companies: carrier Neutrona Networks and infrastructure operator ATIS Group. Salata launched Enveedo in May 2021.
“Silverton is thrilled to partner with and support the Enveedo team as they accelerate their growth,” commented GP Kip McClanahan. “What resonated with me is how quickly Enveedo can help customers comprehensively define a CISO-level playbook for identifying and protecting what’s most important to the business.”
“Enveedo’s automated workflow then guides their customers along a step-by-step roadmap for achieving their security goals,” McClanahan continued. “For businesses operating in today’s dynamic threat landscape, Enveedo’s product is timely and very impactful.”
Enveedo’s risk management platform equips security and IT professionals with the tools necessary to develop a security strategy. First, the platform identifies critical assets and assesses major risks. It then provides a customized strategic roadmap with detailed recommendations and reporting mechanisms. The idea is that Eveedo enables businesses of all sizes to access the best in cybersecurity strategy.
Cybersecurity has been a growing corner of South Florida’s tech landscape across 2023. In September, Lumu raised a $30 million Series B to optimize enterprise cybersecurity operations. In October, SYN Ventures launched a $75 million cybersecurity seed fund. Kriptos has expanded significantly through its mission to help users keep their files secure.
Thanks to these companies and more, our data is a little safer every day.
