To transform sports-betting communities, Winible raises $6M from Inspired Capital, Ray Lewis and others

Winible, the first e-commerce platform exclusively focused on the sports-betting market, allows any sports betting influencer to build a customizable digital storefront to monetize their predictions.

The problem this Miami-based startup aims to solve is that today most betting handicappers tend to use existing platforms like Discord and Telegram for sharing sports-betting insights and predictions, which often depend on less reliable payment methods. These platforms also don’t offer the speed needed for betters to move quickly, explained Winible’s co-founder and CEO Noah Traisman.

Winible offers payment solutions along with subscription management, SMS notifications, customers support, custom discount codes and self-service free trials for its customers. The platform currently counts 100 of the top influencers in the space as its clients with over 75,000 active subscribers and over $30 million in bets placed across all the major sports books and daily fantasy/pick’em/betting apps, the company said.

Winible announced it has raised $6 million in seed funding. The round was led by Inspired Capital with participation from industry figures including Adam Wexler (PrizePicks), Kyle Christensen (Pointsbet), NFL legend Ray Lewis, unicorn founders David Petersen of (Flexport, Michael Flaxman of Thumbtack and Adam Lyons of The Zebra, and others.

“With a growing number of states legalizing sports betting, there is a new audience interested in betting insights and advice. Winible helps legitimize and professionalize the work of cappers by providing the infrastructure needed to create visibility, develop recurring revenue streams, and engage with an intelligent and passionate community like never before,” said  Inspired Capital Partner Mark Batsiyan, in a statement.

Co-founder Teddy Jungreis

“The desire from consumers for platforms to build communities with their favorite creators is the next evolution in sports betting and gaming,” added Christensen. “There’s a ton of untapped potential for influencers in the gaming space, and from my perspective, Winible has nailed the value for both the pros and followers.”

The rapid growth of online sports betting as states have started to legalize it has given rise to a problem for these betting handicappers, as online sportsbooks can more easily limit or ban their betting in the online world. Traisman said in his research building Winible, he became a professional sports bettor, got pretty good at it, and experienced this limitation first hand.

Traisman set out with his co-founders — Teddy Jungreis, Brandon Garcia, and Daniel Sands, all in MIami — to build a platform that enables these cappers and influencers to monetize their expertise in other ways. “Winible aims to be the go-to destination for betrepreneurs, fostering responsible and innovative practices in the sports betting content community,” said Traisman, who previously co-founded Dream.me that successfully exited to Playboy for $30 million, and is the co-founder of Zeroe Caviar.

Since its stealth launch in late 2023, Winible has signed up thousands of users per week without spending anything on marketing, Traisman said in an interview with Refresh Miami.  “We over delivered on product and allowed the word of mouth to drive our growth, but in 2024, we’re going to start investing into growth outside of product with more events, more content, and more general marketing and outreach to help expand the ecosystem and also accelerate our growth from a revenue and user perspective.”

And there’s more ahead for Winible, currently a team of 10.

“We’re opening a headquarters meets collaborative content house here in Miami,” Traisman said. “We’re going to be continuing to grow our product and engineering team. We’re in the process of building out a feature set we’ve been really excited about for quite some time, which is going to provide deep links and autofill capabilities to our subscribers. And then we’re also going to be hiring.”

In Miami, Traisman hopes to bring on their first cohort of spring and summer interns. “There are so many universities in the Greater Miami area and there are so many students and recent college graduates dying to get into the elusive world of sports betting, social media entertainment and technology. I’m excited to bring in some younger, fresh candidates to show us what they’re capable of.”
