I’MPULSE sessions are going to pulse inspiration from leading examples and experts in the design sector who are using a life-centered approach in their UX research and overall design approach.

Episode 5: Earth Centered UX

Planet Earth is inherently the place where birth of everything for each and one of us starts, the way of living, being and doing. This is why we will dedicate our next I’MPULSE session to the Earth Centered UX.

Though human centered design and creative problem-solving dates to the 60´s, its unique potential and highly enhancing outcomes for business and innovative applications became evident through the UX approach in the last 2 decades.

Today we know that though with great intentions human centered approach and UX can still fail real needs of people and negatively contribute to our planetary wellbeing. Understanding that our personal lives and especially UX work relying on digital depends on limited resource demands of the planet (water, energy, healthy ecosystems) we are asked to look deeper into our research practice and UX deliveries.

At this session our main discussion will be oriented around holistic and systemic vision of our research practice. We will dive into the importance of the planet centered approach, life-centered design and concrete methodologies being used in our research, ideation, and implementation phase of UX in practice through concrete business examples.

Earth Centered UX features Korčulanin and Veronica Reyero focusing on an Earth-centered approach within the global project of Cervest. In this episode, they look to architect a new era of climate intelligence involving stakeholders and the user experience in manifold ways.
