Hey service provider: how do you rank on Google? If your business doesn’t rise to the top of the search results, chances are you’re missing out on business, as HubSpot reports that 75% of people searching online don’t scroll past the first page of results.
FirmPilot can help. The Miami-based startup has developed an artificial intelligence-powered engine to give professionals a leg up on their marketing efforts. It has started by focusing on helping law firms specifically.
Today, FirmPilot announced that it has raised a $7 million Series A led by Blumberg Capital, a Silicon Valley VC that has also invested in marketing tech startups such as customer engagement platform Braze and digital media analytics pioneer DoubleVerify.
Additional participants in this round include Valor Ventures, SaaS Ventures, FJ Labs, and Connexa Capital. In January, Refresh Miami reported that FirmPilot raised $2 million that is included in this round.
“AI will continue to transform legal operations and, like many industries, early adopters will have a massive advantage,” FirmPilot founder and CEO Jake Soffer said in a statement. “Law firms and other services-based SMBs who make the transition toward AI-driven marketing, and away from traditional marketing agency support, will have an advantage, as well as the transparency, efficiency and ROI needed to grow revenues and deliver more value to more customers.”

FirmPilot is already working with dozens of law firms, having generated more than 12,000 leads for its customers in the last 12 months – representing a 200% increase in average leads. According to the company, its AI-powered system automatically creates marketing content that speaks to what lawyers’ ideal customers are looking for while outranking competitors. All the while, this platform enables users to see real-time performance metrics. Leveraging FirmPilot’s tool saves customers 50-70% of their marketing expenses.
Jacob Katz, a principal at Blumberg Capital and FirmPilot board member, praised the startup’s growth thus far: “FirmPilot’s early traction and strong customer retention underscores the growing opportunity for AI as a marketing and revenue-generating tool for SMBs.”
“Law firms now have access to sophisticated and easy-to-use marketing tools that create tangible value for both their business and clients,” Katz continued. “We believe FirmPilot has the team and technology to transform marketing for law firms and SMBs across a number of service industries.”
Beyond law firms, potential use cases for this technology include other services-based SMBs such as dentists, plumbers, electricians, veterinarians, and chiropractors. The millions of these businesses in the U.S. spend as much as $15,000 on marketing with unclear ROI. John Romano, partner at Romano Law Group and a FirmPilot customer, underscored just how make-or-break effective marketing efforts can be to an SMB such as his.
“A personal Injury firm without marketing-muscle will cease to grow and exist. AI is here and it is essential to law firms, especially in the area of marketing,” asserted Romano. “Our work with FirmPilot has demonstrated ‘wow-level’ results.”
